The Minister for Labour and Welfare (Mr Lim Yew Hock): Mr Speaker, Sir, may I be permitted, with the assent of the House, to move without notice the necessary exemption to enable the business of the House to be concluded today? Sir, it is, in fact, doubtful whether the business set down for today will reach the moment of interruption, but I do feel that hon. Members will not wish to continue the sitting further tomorrow if it is just for a short duration.

In the circumstances, Sir, I beg to ask for the assent of this House to move,

That the proceedings on the business set down for this day be exempted from the provisions of Standing Order No. 7.

Mr Speaker: That is a business motion, Mr Lim Yew Hock, and should actually be taken after the presentation of Government Bills. We will proceed with the presentation of Government Bills.
