Mr Tan Cheng Tong asked the Minister for National Development when will electricity be supplied to the areas around 11 milestone Yio Chu Kang Road.

Mr Ho Cheng Choon (for the Minister for National Development): Electricity supplies can be made available in the areas around 11 milestone Yio Chu Kang Road as soon as a sub-station is constructed, equipped, and commissioned.

A site was previously allocated for a sub-station, but due to objections from the Toa Mong Public School authorities, it is now necessary to negotiate for an alternative site.
