Inche Rahamat Bin Kenap asked the Minister of Defence, with the resumption of normal relations with Indonesia, whether steps will be taken to contact the owners of the premises of the Kebun Ubi Community Centre at Jalan Penggaga with a view to regularising the tenancy of the Centre and if improvements will be made to the premises, particularly to avoid flooding during heavy rains.

Dr Goh Keng Swee: Mr Speaker, Sir, the answer to both parts of the question is "No".

No improvement to the building will avoid flooding during heavy rains. The People's Association is considering building a community centre elsewhere in the constituency.
