Dr Augustine H. H. Tan asked the Minister for Law and National Development if he will consider providing a link road between St. Michael's Road and Jalan Tenteram or Jalan Bahagia, as, presently, traffic from Serangoon Road and Upper Serangoon Road can reach St. Michael's Estate only via a circuitous route.

Mr E. W. Barker: Mr Speaker, Sir, the proposal of the Member will be considered by the Public Works Department in conjunction with the final detailed plans of the proposed expressway linking Balestier Road with Jalan Toa Payoh, which I have referred to in my answer to the previous question.
