Mr Tay Boon Too asked the Minister for Law and National Development if he will consider replacing the present street lighting along main roads and highways with yellow street lighting.
Mr Ho Cheng Choon (for the Minister for Law and National Development): Sir, a programme has been drawn up for the installation of yellow street lighting to replace the old one along arterial roads and highways. As considerable funds are needed, the programme has to be carried out in stages. Some heavy traffic intersections, arterial roads and highways already have yellow street lighting.
