Mr Ho Kah Leong asked the Minister for National Development if the Public Works Department will erect proper signs to warn motorists of pedestrian zebra crossings ahead.
Mr Teh Cheang Wan: Mr Speaker, Sir, "Pedestrian Crossing Ahead" signs have been installed to warn motorists of the presence of zebra crossings. Some of these signs may not be easily seen by approaching motorists, e.g. at a bend or crest of a road.
The Public Works Department will be conducting a survey to find out whether more warning signs should be installed at existing zebra crossings.
