RAFFLES CITY PROJECT

Mr Ho See Beng asked the Minister for National Development whether the Raffles Centre development project will lead to the acquisition of schools along Bras Basah Road as well as the playground of St Joseph's Institution, the grounds of St Andrew's Cathedral and the Padang in front of City Hall.

Mr Teh Cheang Wan: The development of Raffles City is confined to the former Raffles Institution grounds and will not affect the grounds of St Andrew's cathedral and the Padang.

There are no immediate plans for further development which will affect the schools along Bras Basah and the playground of St Joseph's Institution.
