ANG MO KIO AVENUE 3 (Construction of pedestrian crossing)

Mr Yeo Toon Chia asked the Minister for National Development if he will consider constructing a pedestrian crossing or an overhead bridge at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 for the safety of the pupils of Ang Mo Kio and Mayflower Primary Schools.

Mr Teh Cheang Wan: Sir, the Public Works Department will install a pedestrian crossing with push-button signals across Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3, near Ang Mo Kio and Mayflower Primary Schools, in December 1979. Construction work will be completed by January 1980.
