MESSAGE FROM THE GOVERNOR (Governor's Assent to Bills passed)

Mr Speaker: I have received a message from His Excellency the Governor dated 20th February, 1957, informing me that His Excellency has, in accordance with the provisions of Section 62 (2) of the Singapore Colony Order in Council, 1955, assented to the following Bills:

(i) Light Dues Bill;

(ii) Census (Amendment) Bill;

(iii) Civil Law (Amendment) Bill.
