Mr Lim Koon Teck asked the Financial Secretary what is the position regarding the establishment of a Central Bank.

Mr T. M. Hart: Sir, the issues involved in the establishment of Central Banking mechanism in Malaya are at present being investigated by Mr Watson of the Bank of England and Sir Sydney Caine, and their report is expected shortly.
