Mr Goh Tong Liang asked the Minister for Local Government, Lands and Housing what progress has been made in respect of the construction of roads in Ama Keng Resettlement Area.

Inche Abdul Hamid Bin Haji Jumat: Mr Speaker, Sir, survey of roads in the Ama Keng area is in progress and is expected to be completed soon. It is hoped that the construction work can start later in the year.

Mr Goh Tong Liang: Mr Speaker, Sir, is the Minister aware that, because of the absence of proper roads, the farmers who live inside have got to pass through other farmers' land?

Inche Abdul Hamid Bin Haji Jumat: Mr Speaker, Sir, I am aware of such a position, and that is why we are trying our best to complete the roads by the end of this year.

Mr Goh Tong Liang: Is the Minister also aware that there is fighting among the farmers?
