Inche Ahmad Bin Ibrahim asked the Minister for Education to explain the Government's policy on Malay Secondary Education and the reason for the delay in replying to the Memorandum submitted by the Malay Education Council in August 1955.

Mr Chew Swee Kee: The policy governing Malay secondary education has been explained in the Malay Education Council at a meeting between the Hon. the Chief Minister and representatives of the Malay Education Council, at which meeting the Member for Sembawang was present. A reply has also been given by the Chief Minister to the Malay Education Council.
