Inche Ahmad Bin Ibrahim asked the Minister for Communications and Works whether and when telephone lines will be extended up to l4¾ milestone Sembawang Road.

Mr Chew Swee Kee (for the Minister for Communications and Works): A new telephone exchange to be built in the Nee Soon area is now in the planning stage. It is expected that the exchange and its associated cable network will be ready for service by January 1959. This new cable network will include the extension to which the hon. Member refers.
