Mr Speaker: Committee stage, what day?
Mr Goode: Now, Sir. Sir, I beg to move,
That this Assembly will immediately resolve itself into a Committee on the Bill.
Mr J. M. Jumabhoy: Sir, I second it.
Question put, and agreed to.
Bill considered in Committee.
[Mr SPEAKER in the Chair]
10.42 a.m.
Clause 1 ordered to stand part of the Bill.
Clause 2-
The Chairman: Mr Chief Secretary, the clause reads:
'Section 3 of the Second-hand Dealers Ordinance is hereby amended by deleting the words and commas "Assistant Commissioner of Police, Criminal Investigation Department",...'.
Within the inverted commas, I see only one comma. I think possibly there should be another comma immediately after the word "Department".
Mr Goode: I am much obliged to you, Sir. That is correct. There should be a second comma.
The Chairman: The comma will be put in as a matter of course.
Clause 2 ordered to stand part of the Bill.
Mr Goode: Sir, I beg to move, "That the Bill be reported to the Assembly."
Question put, and agreed to.
Bill reported, without Amendment.
Third Reading
Mr Speaker: Third Reading, what day?
Mr Goode: Now, Sir. Sir, I move, "That the Bill be now read the Third time."
Mr J. M. Jumabhoy: Sir, I second it.
Question put, and agreed to.
Bill accordingly read the Third time.
