Mrs Seow Peck Leng asked the Minister for Health whether any special training for specialised jobs, such as mental nursing at Woodbridge Hospital, etc., had been conducted for nurses in 1959.

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Health (Dr Sheng Nam Chin) (for the Minister for Health): Mr Speaker, Sir, I have been asked to reply. The answer to the question is "Yes". There were training courses for psychiatric nurse training, tuberculosis nurse training, pediatrics nurse training, midwifery certificate for trained nurses, and public health nurse training.
