Mr Ng Kah Ting asked the Minister for National Development and Communications, in view of the increasing volume of traffic at the junction of Upper Serangoon Road and Tampines Way, whether a traffic light system will be installed at that junction.

Dr Tan Eng Liang (for the Minister for National Development and Communications): Sir, plans are already underway to install traffic signals at the junction of Upper Serangoon Road/Tampines Way during the first quarter of the 1978 financial year.
