HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT CO. (PTE) LTD. (Policy on purchase of private apartments and houses for sale to HUDC applicants)

Mr Tan Soo Khoon asked the Minister for National Development and Communications if he will ascertain from the Housing and Urban Development Company (Pte) Ltd whether it will continue to buy apartments and houses from private developers and make them available to HUDC applicants under the normal terms.

Dr Tan Eng Liang (for the Minister for National Development and Communications): Sir, the HUDC will consider offers of the private developers to sell houses and flats to the Company if the housing units are suitable and the prices are reasonable.
