IMPRISONMENT OR DETENTION OF MEMBERS

Mr Speaker: For the record, I have to inform honourable Members that, in accordance with the right and privilege of this. House to receive immediate information of the imprisonment or detention of any Member, with the reason for which he is detained, I received communications from the Courts in regard to the detention of certain Members of this House on criminal charges. Copies of such communications* have been circulated to honourable Members and will be printed in the Official Report.
