Mr Tan Cheng Tong asked the Minister for National Development whether he is aware that the road-improvement works from the 9th milestone Yio Chu Kang Road to the junction with Thomson Road have been suspended, the reason for the suspension, and when will such works be recommenced.

Mr Tan Kia Gan: Sir, as far as I am aware, no major construction work on this stretch of Yio Chu Kang Road has been carried out recently as no money was provided in the 1962 Development Estimates. Only normal maintenance work has been carried out.
