The Minister for Finance (Dr Goh Keng Swee): Sir, I beg to introduce a Bill intituled "An Ordinance for making provision for estimated financial requirements for expenditure to be paid out of the Consolidated Fund for the year 1963".

Bill read the First time.

Mr Speaker: Second Reading, what day?

Dr Goh Keng Swee: 15th of June.

Mr Speaker: The date, of course, is subject to acceptance by this House of paragraphs (4)+ and (5)++ of the Business motion.

  • (4) that notwithstanding the standing Orders the proceedings on the second and third readings of the Appropriation Bill 1963, be taken on Saturday, the 15th June, 1963; and

++ (5) that the Assembly do sit on Saturday, the 15th of June, 1963.
