MESSAGE FROM THE YANG DI-PERTUAN NEGARA (Assents to Bills passed)

Mr Speaker: I have to report to hon. Members that I received information from His Excellency the Yang di-Pertuan Negara that, on the 4th day of May, 1961, he assented to the following Bills :-

(i) Education and Improvement Rates (Abolition) Bill;

(ii) Post Office Savings (Amendment) Bill;

(iii) Police Force (Amendment) Bill;

(iv) Inquiry Commissions (Amendment) Bill;

(v) Rubber Estates (Surcharge on Assessment) (Amendment) Bill;

(vi) Public Trustee (Amendment) Bill;

(vii) Central Sikh Gurdwara Board Bill.
