MESSAGES FROM THE GOVERNOR (Governor's Assent to Bills passed)

Mr Speaker: I have received three messages from His Excellency the Governor dated 10th, 13th and 18th December, 1956, respectively informing me that His Excellency has, in accordance with the provisions of Section 62 (2) of the Singapore Colony Order in Council, 1955, assented to the following Bills:

i) Criminal Procedure Code (Amendment) Bill;

ii) Prisons (Amendment) Bill;

iii) Children and Young Persons (Amendment) Bill;

iv) Control of Petroleum Fuel and Lubricants Bill;

v) Public Service Commission Bill;

vi) Singapore Youth Sports Centre Incorporation Bill;

vii) Retirement from the Public Service (Compensation) Bill
