Mr Goh Tong Liang asked the Minister for Local Government, Lands and Housing-
(a) why have the agricultural roads in Ama Keng Resettlement not been made up yet;
(b) when will he issue titles to the settlers in Ama Keng Resettlement.
Inche Abdul Hamid Bin Haji Jumat: Mr Speaker, the reply to question (a) is that the Engineering Section of the Resettlement Claims of the Land Office has been fully occupied in building roads in newly opened-up resettlement areas. These have to be given priority as the lack of prepared resettlement sites was everywhere holding up the Government's building programme.
The reply to question (b) , Sir, is that titles will be issued as soon as title survey of the area, which is now in hand, is completed.
