ESTIMATES COMMITTEE AND PUBLIC ACCOUNTS COMMITTEE (Filling of vacancies)

Mr Speaker: The hon. Member for Ulu Pandan, Dr Chiang Hai Ding, has asked that he be relieved from service as Chairman of the Estimates Committee and as a member of the Public Accounts Committee, on his appointment as Singapore's Ambassador in Bonn.

I have to inform hon. Members that, in the place of the hon. Member for Ulu Pandan, I have appointed the hon. Member for Kallang, Mr S. Dhanabalan, to be Chairman of the Estimates Committee, and the hon. Member for Serangoon Gardens, Dr Lau Teik Soon, to be a member of the Public Accounts Committee.
