DEATH OF MR P. GOVINDASWAMY

Mr Speaker: It was with deep sorrow that I, and I am sure hon. Members, heard the news of the death of the hon. Member for Anson, Mr P. Govindaswamy, on Sunday, 4th June, 1978.

On 5th June, 1978, on behalf of Parliament, I addressed a letter to his widow in the following terms:

"I desire, on behalf of Parliament, to express to you and members of your family, with great regret and with deep sympathy, our expression of the sense of loss Parliament has sustained at the sad passing of your husband."
