HAIG ROAD HOUSING ESTATE (Additional open court for sepak takraw)

Haji Rahmat bin Kenap asked the Minister for National Development and Communications if the Housing and Development Board will consider constructing an additional open court for sepak takraw on the open grass space available at the Haig Road Housing Estate as early as possible as quarrels and fights have taken place over the use of the existing multi-purpose open court for basketball and sepak takraw between Blocks 5 and 8 in spite of the weekly programmes organised by the Constituency Sports Committee and Citizens' Consultative Committee.

Mr Lim Kim San: Mr Speaker, Sir, the answer is yes. The Board will be providing a separate open court for sepak takraw, volley ball or badminton.
