MOUNT FABER (Construction of steps from Henderson Road)

Mr Ahmad Haleem asked the Minister for National Development and Communications whether he will consider building steps from Henderson Road going up the slope of Mount Faber between Telok Blangah Heights and Telok Blangah Drive.

Mr Lim Kim San: Mr Speaker, Sir, the Mount Faber Park facing Henderson Road is generally steep and of hard rock. Access to the Park is by a flight of steps from the Telok Blangah Way/Henderson Road junction.

To increase access to the Park, the Parks and Recreation Department will consult engineers on the possibility of constructing another flight of steps to the Park from behind the bus stop just after the Telok Blangah Drive/Henderson Road junction.
