MESSAGE FROM THE GOVERNOR (Assent to Bills passed)

[Mr Speaker in the Chair]

Mr Speaker: I have received a message from His Excellency the Governor dated the 10th January, 1958, informing me that His Excellency, in accordance with the provisions of section 62 (2) of the Singapore Colony Orders in Council, 1955 and 1956, had that day assented to the following Bills:

(i) Singapore Citizenship (Amendment) Bill;

(ii) Federation of Malaya Independence (Consequential Provisions) Bill;

(iii) Widows' and Orphans' Pension (Amendment) Bill.
