Mr Lee Choon Eng: Mr Speaker, Sir, as the lifts which form the subject of my question [No. 40] are now in operation, may I have the permission of the House to withdraw the question, which is:
To ask the Minister for Local Government, Lands and Housing if he is aware of the inconvenience being caused to residents on the upper floors of Singapore Improvement Trust flats by the stoppage of the operation of lifts, and whether he will take steps to ensure that the lifts may be operated again.
Mr Speaker: The hon. Member is too late.
Inche Abdul Hamid: Sir, this is a matter for the Singapore Improvement Trust.
