Mr Goh Tong Liang asked the Minister for Education-

(a) when the Bukit Panjang English Secondary School building will be ready for occupation;

(b) what does he propose to do with the old Bukit Panjang Government School building after it is vacated.

Mr Chew Swee Kee: The Bukit Panjang English Secondary School building is expected to be completed for occupation in January 1959. It is proposed to retain the present school as a primary school because Bukit Panjang is a rapidly developing area.
