BANISHMENT ORDINANCE (Banishment delay)

Mr Seah Peng Chuan asked the Chief Secretary whether any persons against whom orders of banishment were issued under the Banishment Ordinance (Cap. 127) more than three months ago, have not, in fact, been as yet banished from the Colony; and whether he will state the reasons for the delay in banishing them.

Mr E. B. David: Yes, Sir. There have been unexpected difficulties in the matter of shipping arrangements of these banishees, but efforts are being made to resolve them.
