IMMIGRANTS FROM CHINA FROM JANUARY TO DECEMBER 1957

[The following is Question No. 13:

Mr Lee Choon Eng: to ask the Minister for Labour and Welfare if he will state the numbers of persons permitted to enter the Colony from China during the period January to December 1957, under the different categories:-

(i) wives of residents in the Colony;

(ii) fathers of residents in the Colony;

(iii) mothers of residents in the Colony;

(iv) children of residents in the Colony, and their ages; and

(v) any others, and their relationship to residents in the Colony.]
